What will you do on your 2007 Memorial Day weekend? With so many things, it can get overwhelming. So let’s see of we can narrow it down just a bit, and get a few good ideas of what to do with your family.
Do you like sports? If so, then you can always go and see a baseball game. The tickets for these games are pretty cheap, and you might be able to get a package deal, which includes food. I went to an Oakland A’s game a few years back, and got a family package deal, where we took 8 of us, including parking, and food for under $100. That was a good deal.
Another thing you can do on your 2007 Memorial Day Go to a State Park. Everyone has a State Park around them. And during these types of weekends, they always have something going on. There is fishing, hiking, sight seeing, canoeing, boating, maybe water skiing (although water might still be a bit cold), and hopefully they have some sort of fireworks display. But, be fore warned, there will be plenty of people there. Everyone else has the same idea, so if you don’t mind people, then go for it.
If you don’t like crowds away from your house, bring them to your house. Have a B-B-Q! This way you can control the environment and the activities. Set up the volleyball net, or play some Jarts (Lawn Darts – yes, I am old school and have a set of these). Either way, you can get the entire family involved. And for food, just do some hamburgers and hotdogs. The other good thing about doing this at your house is if it is too hot, head in the house with the AC on. Nothing wrong with that.
Now, if you don’t like the hoopla of getting together, then go see a movie. There will be plenty of new releases coming out. And, it has AC. You could even catch the Sunday night movie, because most people are off on Monday. This would also be less people.
So, there you are. On this 2007 Memorial Day weekend, do something different, or better yet, just do something. It does not need to cost much money to have a good time. The point is just to relax and have fun.
